Higher Self - a guardian?

When I was about 22, I had my new baby daughter in the car with me and I was at the on-ramp of the freeway. I was accelerating at the normal speed for entering the freeway. I am a very careful driver and always look to the left for oncoming traffic. For some reason that day, I did not look.

When I came the part of the onramp where it meets with the freeway, a huge semi missed me by about an inch. The part of the semi where I would have hit was the middle of it.

I went home, sat there shaking and holding my baby close to me. I was shaking because I would be most certainly killed in a terrible accident.I was also shaking because I know to this day that 'I' never put my foot on that brake. Why would I have done that, I never saw the semi. This makes me think that anything that happens to us is supposed to happen. When it is not supposed to happen, it doesn't.

Someone from somewhere intervenes. Do we have guardian spirts or angels keeping track of us? Something kept me and my child from death that day.

This is a perfect example of your Higher Self (your private "secretary" to Great Intellect) intervening. You were supposed to learn MUCH more in your lifetime - it was not a time for you do die yet.

Since your Higher Self operates on all levels of consciousness - it can directly control motion of your body BEFORE you have the opportunity to analyze the situation consciously.

"Instinctive" avoiding of trouble, especially when it occurs faster than we can think - is a job of our Higher Self.

Hello Tom. I would like to share an experience I had when I was younger. I was about 15, it was early morning and I was standing on the road talking to a friend. It was very quiet-no one around. Very suddenly, I felt a shiver along my spine, which made me walk forward 1-2m onto the curb.

Immediately after, a truck, without lights and driving on the wrong side of the road (where we were) ran over the spot where I was previously standing.

For some time, I thought perhaps a 'guardian entity' had intervened. Now it seems more likely that it was my higher self. What do you think? I know everything occurs for a reason. Does this mean that there are lessons in everything also?

Only YOU know the answer and the lesson. It was a very private experience - that shook your feelings in quite unforgettable way. Most likely you remember it for a reason.

Nearly everyone on Earth experiences a similar situation in their lifetime, but most people never try to analyze it. It is their Freedom of Choice...
