Challenging `happy` people?

Believe me Dr. Chalko, all I do is think. Sometimes the spark plugs just go psst.I reach impasses where I just stop and I need new/more hints/ideas.

I've been doing this for a long time, but I think I needed someone to say yes, it's really true, go for it. When you talked about the freedom of choices in Freedom, I knew it was true. Somehow in my travels, I picked up on that. You can know something is true but putting it into action sometimes takes a relook at everything.

When you try to discuss this in the every day world, people just look at you with a blank stare.

They don't realize the impact and the magnitudeof the statement,'Anything is possible', it's your choice. To know something is true and to act on it are two differant things.

If I've heard,'YOU CAN'T DO THAT', I've heard it 10,000 times in my life. Not only do most people NOT think like that, they don't want anyone else to have something that they don't have. Most people don't want anyone else to get ahead of them in any way, shape or form.

Everyone wants to be the last word on everything. No wonder most people are so brainwashed. It takes massive courage to stand apart from the crowd and say this sucks. Screwed up, limited thinking is dangerous.

When you are raised that if you don't think and act as I say, you are going to be cast out and you will be eternally damned, that has such an impact on a child. It takes alot of thinking to get to the point that you say,'I'll take that chance, thank you'. Because being like them is something that I can't be. There has got to be some other way of being. Don't they see that what they are doing isn't working?

Everybody is scared and miserable. When you start challenging people who seem happy, they shrink away. They don't want their apple cart upset, and that's OK. Like you say,it's their choice. I just haven't been able to find anyone else like me. No one who is as adament about finding truth as I am. Sometimes I envy those who are content with their lives. It is so much easier to just go along with the flow. That evidently is not my path. It never has been my path for as long as I can remember.

Challenging other people is also my style. For example, when people try to convince me to aim for "salvation" or "liberation" I ask them innocently:

Salvation from WHAT? Liberation from WHAT? And what would I do NEXT? WHY?

Usually they don't want to talk to me anymore after such a response, but I suspect that questions like those plant a "seed" in their minds that one day may help them to "wake up".
