Deja vu?

Thao explains that the Higher Self shows an Astral body a 'film' of the life it is about to be incarnated to. If the Astral body accepts the reincarnation it passes through 'The River of Oblivion' where all details of the life are erased. Occasionally, by accident, some segments of the film are not erased, which is why most people say, on several occasions in the course of their lives 'I have seen that before'.

The lives we choose to be incarnated to are the most suitable to our spiritual development. It is all up to each individual to exercise its freedom of choice. My question is whether deja vu experiences will cease to occur if one deviates from the life that was intended for an Astral body? Like if you don't have deja vu experiences, does that mean that you have deviated from the path that was intended for you? And vice versa, if deja vu experiences continue to occur, does that mean that I'm on the right track in life - that everything is proceeding like it was originally intended?

I think absence or presence of deja-vu's has very little to do with the verification of our spiritual progress. A deja vu usually relates to the material environment and not to your conscious choices in this environment. What a deja vu means is that you are in the place you are supposed to be at some stage in your life.

What matters in the spiritual development is not the environment around you, but your motives, conscious choices and conclusions that you reach in that environment.

Let me give you an example. Suppose that before you enrol at the Uni - you are shown a video of a fragment of a particular lecture that you will attend. Then you go for a long vacation and FORGET it.

Years later, during the actual study - you attend the very lecture you have seen before. What matters is not that you attend this lecture, but how much you UNDERSTAND from it and how you can APPLY what you learned.

Life is a test - whether we Understand or just dream that we do.

I agree with tom. Many times i have had deja vu, i have recognized my current environment and situation and a feeling/tought i had at that moment. You can be in the same place more that once, and can have a similar conversation more that once, but at times I had deja vu I had a FEELING that i have had before in that exact environment. I agree with tom though because it it not a feeling of concious choice. [Mr Fujisawa]

I think a deja vu is an experience from another lifetime. A similar situation you are in at the time you have it reminds us of something we already learned. And we know we couldn't have learned it or been in the situation in this lifetime.

Highly unlikely. The time between lifetimes is at least several decades. How do you explain seeing particular people and particular plants (trees) at a PARTICULAR age? If you saw them in your previous life, as you suggest, they would be at least 50 years older when you see them again in this life.

Tom

Not a Person not a plant. The situation. I learned this. I know the outcome of the situation. A set of events you are in and you know whats going to happen. Events that happen in this lifetime.
