Easy way out?

I've heard many places (and believe it myself to an extent) that suicide is an 'easy way out' and it is not the way things are supposed to be.. you remove your life experience that you could have if you wouldn't kill yourself. But what if it IS part of your life experience ? What if you DID preview your life and at some point it was meant for you to kill yourself ? Sorry if this sounds f*cked up but I don't see how it could look strange... And what about the girl / boy that gets hit by a car ? Isn't this removing his life experience ? Answer in full, not just one part please.. and do not ask if I have read the book.. 😛 I want an honest answer straight from you... this is bothering me and I seek light. Thank you.

Thank you for your trust.

Is a suicide the "way out"? Out of WHAT ???

What if you remain conscious and even moe sensitive? Can you escape from your Self? Ever? Remember that it was YOU who has chosen a life in the physical body, no one else. Why don't you try to make the most of it?

Terminating life by suicide is the evidence that you haven't even figured out the REASON for your existence in the physical body.

Do you like being cheated? Would you cheat yourself by eliminating opportunities?

We all have the Freedom of Choice and we can choose suicide at ANY stage. But is it a good choice?

Michel Desmarquet, the author of The Book said that a person who committs suicide will be back in the physical body within 47 days. Also his/her Freedom of Choice to choose a life will be limited, because he/she failed to keep the contract with the Higher Self.

Life is a test whether or not you can make choices - a test whether you understand or just dream that you understand.

Death by accident is a natural process. Some people may choose this way to die - unexpectedly. they do not prove their ignorance by choosing suicide.

I was watching the movie 'Braveheart' the other day and the main character, William Wallace, was killed in a very very painful way(cut open alive, tortured, etc). So my question is, what if someone commits suicide to avoid an extremely painful death?

Polsan

Cows don't cross an electric fence, because they are afraid of pain.

Don't let your Freedom of Choice be limited by the "fence of fear".

Advanced people understand that pain associated with tortures such as burning on the stakes (Joanne D'Arc) and crucifixion (Jesus) is no excuse to compromise integrity.

By becoming fearless of pain, not only you become able to withstand it, but you also PROVE that you understand, not only talk that you do.

Tom

Thank you. I must stress that this question came from a friend of mine, who is very much in need of light and has several thoughts of suicide on a monthly basis. I believe he doesn't understand his purpose yet and is lost ..

And with this comes the following : how do I effectively 'give / send' him light / positive energy ? Is it through conscious thought ?

Louis-Philippe

The best is to inspire and awaken his intellect. Give him The Freedom of Choice book to read. Search this Forum for "suicide" and see what effect The Freedom of Choice book had on people who contemplated suicide. It has already saved several lives.

Tom

Dear Tom, Becoming fearless of pain in theory doesn't help you to withstand it in practice. Sometimes the pain is so great that it is unbearable and it is not anyone's fault that he can't take it. I want you to understand one thing. None can be blamed for not being able to withstand pain. You may say I'm weak. Ok maybe I'm but it is not my fault. And if the physical pain is so great that it's unbearable (ex.cancer in a terminal stage) the person should be allowed to die in dignity and not like an animal suffering in a hole. What's the use of several weeks of pain when you die in the end anyway? I know you will say to learn something. But comon man at that stage you don't really feel like considering some lenghy moral/intellectual issues any more. Quite frankly at that stage you don't give a s**t. You just want it to end. You say that if you reflect on what you've been doing wrong in life and decide that you will improve then you'll be cured. Man that's not true. How many people have done that and died anyway? Millions if not more. You see in 99.9% of cases it doesn't work this way.

Daniel

Have you ever thought about "what is the point of being cured?"

WHY do you want to be cured? What for? What would you do NEXT? What for?

I have learned MOST in my life when I suffered. The more I suffered - the more I learned. When I look back - without suffering I would never discipline myself to learn so much. I would simply bimbo around and most likely waste the entire lifetime.

By nature we are quite lazy. We like comfort and doing nothing. There is only one problem with that - it contravenes our own choice to live in our physical body in order to learn particular things.

As you know, our physical bodies eventually die and disintegrate, no matter what we do. They are temporary tools anyway.

Focus on your Understanding. It cannot be undone. Only you can make it "work". No one in the Universe can understand anything FOR you. You need to achieve the understanding all by yourself. If you still suffer - it means that you haven't yet begun Understanding the essence of Nature, the Universe and your own role in it.

If you think that I am the only one who developed such a "strange" conclusion about suffering, think again. Nearly 2000 years ago a man who came back to life after suffering tortures and death by crucifixion said to Thomas [2] "Blessed is one who has suffered: that one has found life".

Of course, you have The Freedom of Choice to develop another opinion and do whatever you like.

Tom

Our ability to do anything is usually a result of practice. This includes withstanding pain (of any sort-physical, psychic)and losing fear (of pain, dying). How many practices are required depend solely on us.

Obviously, much learning can be achieved either in hindsight, or after a certain amount of suffering (this is quite different from a living-in-the-past mentality). But - What´s the use of several weeks of pain if you die in the end anyway? Well, if you KNOW that consciousness doesn´t end at the moment of physical death, it is logical that someone who had suffered much and died, would STILL have the opportunity to learn something. Also, the exact nature of all our lessons is extremely personal and it would hardly be accurate to say that (a person) couldn´t possibly learn anything from being sick with (a certain disease) for so many years.

Decide that you will improve? How? With how much sincerity? The Book mentions that in certain cases, a return to life after or during physical death depends on the persons motives. If he wants to return for the benfit of others, it may be permitted. I can imagine that regressions and cures require exactly the same thing, ie a worthy motive (which indicates understanding).
