Dear Tom,I just wanted to say that your analogy of life being an exam is so correct. A couple of days ago I was taking a Quantum Mechanics exam in college. The Professor sat in class all through the exam. After the time was over he still let us continue writing. There were some questions which I could complete, but some I wouldn't be able to do no matter how much time I was given. Seeing the prof's while he was waiting for us to finish, I felt that this is probably how our higher self watches us as we go about our exam in life, hoping that we'd do a good job and that we've learnt the lessons taught to us. I just wanted to tell you that your analogy is extremely apt. Thaks for everything Tom, I wish you all the best.

Thank you for your kind words. Considering life as an exam seems to explain a few things, but we should't forget to see our lives as they really ARE.
Analogies/parables are very helpful in initiating the process of thinking/understanding, but we have to be aware that they may have limitations.
