Is there Love in The Light?

I hear the word learn a lot. Learning is good. Are you finding love, compassion and understanding in The Light?

Belle

There is more Love in the Light that you can ever imagine experiencing. One day you will FAINT from "being loved" - it will be SO overwhelming.

I have decided NOT to get attached to this feeling too much - I have a LOT to figure out when in my physical body. Solving a problem that was too difficult for Einstein (gravity) is one example.

Thank you for the book Tom.You keep referring to the Higher Self as a teacher and to us as its students. But if we are a part of it, then how can we show ourselves something that we already know? Is it true then that when we enter this life we become a seperate intellect and then are reabsorbed when we die? If this is true, then it would not seem useful to live a physical life since we cannot possibly reach the level that our higher intellect is already at in our 79 or 80 years. The definition of our higher self and our self as it is now and how they relate is the most confusing thing for me right now. Please shed some light. Thanx again.

Greg

We never lose our invividuality and intellect, unless we choose to surrender them or not use them temporarily. We are Individual Intellects who have chosen the path of evolution by Free Will.

The exact definition of the Higher Self is a very difficult topic. Still a beginner in my explorations I found out that:

- The Higher Self is definitely an autonomous entity, extremely intelligent and with a great sense of humour. I feel an autonomous part of my Higher Self.

- I receive inspiration (especially when I face extreme difficulties when I insist on my choices), scolding as well as tasks to perform.

- The Higher Self is definitely our most direct "interface" to the Great Intellect. In The Book the multi-level nature of this interface is described in more detail, but I prefer to stick to what I have verified myself.

- since this interface transmits information and feelings both ways, I found that referring to the HS as an individual "teacher" is most adequate.

Tom

How can we in our 80 years possibly learn more than our Higher Self has in all it's time? If you look at knowledge and the process of learning then you will see that no one truly knows everything, including the higher self, or even the great intelect. No one or nothing does. With out my mortal egsistance my higher self can not know what it is like to know what it is like to be me.

Although my higher self may be seen as my teacher with vastly more knowelge than I have that does not mean that I can not teach it a lesson or two in the prosess, however small and insignificant it may be compared to the collective knowledge of the higher self.

Every good teacher learns how to make a better lesson by watching progress of their pupils. And this includes your Higher Self. As in any school you can choose excell, impress or surprise your teacher.

I can assure you, that The Great Intellect and your Higher Self know EXACTLY how it feels to be "you" or at "your" stage of conscious evolution. The Great Intellect HAD to pass this stage ITSELF, in much more challenging circumstances, when IT was alone.

Tom

But Higher Self/Great Intellect could not know what it is to be me exactly until I have been. If as you said the great intellect went through this stage alone with much more difficulty then that is not a representation of me.

Avrum

Agree. However, I can assure you that they can feel your feelings at all times, including NOW... Especially your Higher Self - it is actually YOUR Higher Consciousness. It holds the best of the best of your achievements.

Tom

but that is my point. If I never was then there would be no experience for it to share. no lesson for it to learn, it would have that much less knowlege, and that is the purpose of me being and learning, me just being is a lesson to my higher self, and like a life lesson that we may experience it may be positive or negative but it is a lesson.

The entire Universe has been designed to facilitate mutual learning. Have I not expressed it clearly enough in The Freedom of Choice?

Tom

That is somthing you did indeed express clearly, and the whole time that was kinda my point... 'this is about mutual learning while it feels that I am learning all there is to know (so we as mortals feel) I am really just learning the lesson of Avrum, and by doing this I am also giving the lesson of avrum to my higher self.Basically this whole time I was agreeing with you and trying to give a different perspective the the origional question.
