Levels of spirituality?

Tom, I would like your perspective on something which I still do not understand. Some spiritual teachers refer to various inner levels, relating to light/sound/spiritual progress. At the same time they say that there are actually no levels, it is merely for convenience and reference to use the term. I haven't met anyone yet capable of understanding how such (inner)levels relate to the 9 categories of planets/higher selves. Is each path to a higher self characterised by these inner levels? Is it only category one which they refer to?

Most "gurus" "masters" or "swamis" who lead large flocks of followers are capable of sending individual telepathic messages. I have experienced a few myself. By calling these specific messagessounds "levels" they make thousands of people WAITING for them and BELIEVING that everything else that "guru" says is actually true. It is not a coincidence, that most of such "masters" insist that everyone in their flock should use the same "mantra".

This is a typical way to control a large group of people, who EXPECT certain very detailed "experiences" and BELIEVE that these experiences prove their progress... Many sects around the world operate this way.

These messagescolors/sounds have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with the Reality of the Universe.

By "awarding" these "levels" to certain people, so-called "masters" aim to achieve more devotion and worship from their followers. As soon as you are AWARE of a danger of worshipping anyone and appreciate the Reality of the Universe - the danger disappears.

The only REALLY IMPORTANT info that some "masters" repeat is that - once you separate your consciousness from your physical body - the Path to The Great Intellect is defined by Light after Light after Light... etc.. every next Light brighter than the previous one. These Lights are Lights of our Higher Selves, every next light of a higher "category" as spoken of by Thaori in The Book. I have verified enough of this myself to be sure of it. The First Light is within anyone's reach. To get a glimpse of even the next one - you need to aim for something extraordinary and/or have extraordinary good motives.

Ridiculous "levels" are not only misleading, but actually prevent most people from finding, recognizing and working on anything TRULY important, such as development of the individual abilities of their own intellect and discovering their Higher Selves. They make people "WAIT for enlightenment" - which is actually more dangerous than exploding an atomic bomb.

Just aim for the Light and the Source of the Sound - they will lead you to your Higher Self and - the Universe.

Determine your OWN goal and do your OWN exploration, so you can eventually say "I don't need to believe anymore - I KNOW".

Tom, thank you for an excellent response to my question. It seems the only 100% foolproof choice is to trust the teacher inside. Information gained from other people is very handy, but ultimately needs to be verified, I think. I really dislike the idea of personality worship (I think the Buddha warned about that). I must confess, that I still do not completely understand why people who claim to be spiritually evolved promote the idea of 5 levels, 7 levels, etc. It seems that no matter how evolved you are, you can always choose up or down. It has also seemed to me that there is no clear means to determine a persons level of spirituality, except for auras. I also think it a very good idea not to judge others, only yourself. Motives of others and their Higher Selves are often too unclear, at least to me.

Those truly 'enlightened' would want nothing to do with telling you how to live your life. They would not need to do such things because they are enlightened...

This is one of the main topics of The Freedom of Choice book. Have you read it? It is about The Freedom of Choice.

"Enlightenment" has nothing to do with the simple and Universal Logic of the Design and The Purpose of the entire Universe.

Without the autonomy of "individual intellects" and their unconstrained Freedom of Choice - there would be NO POINT whatsoever to design the Universe to start with...
