Offended?

Dear Tom, 'Man creats god in the image and likeness of himself'. Thats exactly what you have done. Judging from your insulting, curt and rude answers to people who don't agree with you, it is no surprise that your 'Great Intellect' is an arrogant, egoistic, unfeeling, uncaring (in the sense that it will let souls that it doesn't like destroy themselves), irritable (it gets mad at us for harming the planet and worshipping idols- according to FOC)being. I would advise you to study your self deeper and sincerely ask your Higher Self whether or not you're on the right path or have veered way off course. And also ask your higher self (with humility) whether the construct of god you have created is one that truly reflects the Almighty.

Even if I only quoted Jesus in my answers, some people, who cannot accept constructive and creative criticism, would still feel offended. Imagine that I respond to your letter like this:

"If you show a gem to swine, the swine will make it worthless" (Jesus).

Now, you KNOW that the only purpose of your letter was to try to make what I do worthless. Since this is true, in YOUR mind, you may develop an association that I call you a pig. I actually don't. You call yourself whatever your self-appreciation (or a lack of it) lets you. I just quote a wise man commenting on those who make holy things worthless.

Perhaps you don't realise, but the concept of "Almighty" is self-contradicting. Can your "Almighty" create an object so heavy that it cannot be lifted? If he can, he is not almighty because he cannot lift the object. If he cannot create the object, he is not almighty either. Philosophies that are based on self-contradictions can only attract people that are unwilling to think. The purpose of Conscious Existence in the Universe is to learn how to make the best possible use of limited resources.

Have I offended you again? Is it possible to point out a weakness in your logic and make a constructive suggestion without you feeling offended? If it is not possible, who is responsible for eliminating such a possibility?

Offended or not, it makes one think. Think about how one could learn to express oneself to another human being without the message being cluttered with obvious self-contradictions. There always being the danger that the other person may consider some part of the message contradictory to his point of view, which often boils down to different usage of language

Makes one think about what one should do when receiving messages containing self-contradictions. Should one just try to translate the other person's way of self-expression into something that makes more sense and seek for confirmation with simple questions before answering? Or to point out the weak parts in the message of the other and then suggesting .. what ??

Depends on the nature of relationship between the two and on the means of communication and on the purpose of the conversation, i guess. Keeping the purpose of the Universe in mind, what about the purpose of this forum?

The Purpose of this Forum is to tease one another to think, which is necessary for our conscious progress isn't it?

What you choose to do when you receive incoherent communication depends on what you Understand about the Conscious Universe and what you are trying to achieve in it. The clearer is your own Goal in your own mind, the clearer will be your choices.

Translating someone's message according to your own expectations can result in misunderstanding.

I think that, unless a person is in extreme stress and seeks urgent help, it is better to seek some sort of clarification to establish what does the person really mean and if he/she is capable to participate in more coherent communication.

My view is that we should try to discipline ourselves to say what we really mean and demand it from others around us. Do you enjoy company of people who do not want to reveal who they really are and do not or cannot express what they really mean?

I have one comment on the last paragraph that you wrote Tom. Some things are so hard to express that you simply cant put them into words in just a few seconds (as in a conversation). Many things have happend to me and it takes alot time and thinking to put them into words for people to understand. I fully understand how much time and thinking it takes to put thoughts into correct words so that other people can understand what you mean.

I know exactly what you talking about. Even now, after 5 decades of conscious thinking, the best answer comes to me a day or even a week after a question arised.

Perhaps I forgot to mention that I write my answers to "a" reader or to "any" future reader of this Forum, not just to a person who asked me a question. Sometimes I even imagine that someone will study this Forum long after I died.

My aim is to make this Forum useful to anyone who will ever aim to explore the Purpose of Existence. This requirement that I imposed on myself determines the style of my answers.

Unfortunately some people take my answers very personally and feel hurt within.

What is depressing to me is the fact that we are going to experience massive planetary changes in the forthcoming decade. You are doing research in this field yourself (the inner core theory).

So, how does it come that you believe that somebody will and actually can study this forum when the civilization as we know it today has ceased to exist and so its technological inventions like the internet. Since your forum is available online and you suspect someone studying it after you have died, you give me quite an optimistic view on whether those global changes coming are that severe as I expect them to be.

Actually this forum is already being studied for I allowed myself to translate discussions regarding 9/11, War of Afghanistan, the War on Saddam Hussein and the recent developments in the Bush Administrations into german language and publish them online. In 2002 the public discussion on this forum (Is it 'noble' to kill terrorists?) was widely and greatly accepted by german speaking people and spreaded out very quickly. It is the effort of the debaters here on this platform that perhaps thousands of people were provoked and therefore made up a change in their minds. Let's keep discussing!

Those who see merit of this discussion will therefore have an opportunity to print this Forum in its entirety, before their computer/printer stops working. My research indicates that there will be some warning before electricity supply totally fails.

It is better to give people an opportunity to make their own local copies rather than expecting them to rely on some central supplies.
