Pollution from volcanoes?

What is your opinion about the argument that the gas and particules released in the atmospheres from volcanoes is greater than the polution generated by fossile fuels?

Volcanic activity in the last 1,000,000 years did not do as much damage to the atmosphere as our so-called "civilization" in the last 100 years.

And we haven't finished yet. We are barely starting... Polution levels seem to grow exponentially... Did you notice that the sky near the horizon becomes green?
