Self-correcting Design?

Tom, There are clear mistakes in the original design of the universe such as the human appendix that serves no purpose (this proves that the creator was not omnipotent in the beginning stages of the design process).

However, if the design is self-correcting, how do you make sense of this, and why has this not been corrected?

Evolution (i.e. improvement) occurs primarily and essentially in the Consciousness. Material changes merely reflect sustained and coherent conscious needs.

So far, humanity hasn't yet begun to become aware that appendix may not be needed. They don't even begin to suspect why they are alive...
