Self-hypnosis?

I know how to hypnotize myself and use mantras for meditation. You say in your book that you shouldn't use hypnosis, but if you are doing it on your own and you don't try to misprogram your intellect, (by saying to yourself I will be this or that) what is the difference?

Working with yourself is always beneficial. The most important is to define a goal and then measure the degree of its accomplishment. That way you can always find out what works best for you and why.
