Dear Tom, What are some of the questions that you have meditated on in your own learning, and which have been the most useful for deepening your understanding of yourself and the universe?
My latest is "what is love??"
Paul
Meditation is strictly speaking a state of NON-THINKING, a state of the Total Silence of the Mind. Only when we "unclutter" our mind by achieving and maintaining a meditative state can we see who we are and what we want to Know.
You question refers not to "meditation" but to "concentration".
We have the Freedom of Choice what to focus our attention and what answers to seek. Of course, the better the question, the better is the lesson from finding its answer. Your question is one of the best. The entire Freedom of Choice book is my answer to this question.
Other questions that I ask myself more frequently than others are"What would make me truly satisfied? Why? Suppose that somehow I achieve what I seek. THEN what?". I apply all the above questions to almost anything that I plan to do.
Tom
