Translations in India?

Hi Tom, I have read 'Freedom of Choice' and 'Thiaoouba Prophecy' and feel that everyone MUST read it at least once !

I stay in India where we have many languages and most of the population still do not understand English (of course many are still illiterate)

I would like these books to be translated to Indian languages like Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu etc. I don't know from where I will arrange the fund, but I am sure people should have chance to read these books.

Can I have your permission to translate and distribute these books (of course after taking your approval of translated material) in India ? Please guide me.

Dear Amit, please go ahead with translations. There is only one requirement: that translations are good and do not distort the message. No royalties are payable whatsoever.

Thank you, Tom. I am starting with the translation in Gujarati. I have started searching for well qualified people to translate the books in their mother tongue without distorting the message. I will get them double-checked by separate group of people.

The typesetting will be done at my end and will also produce them in e-book form for free download by Indians with net connection.

I have your e-books with me, but can you please send couple of hard copies of your books so that it will be easier to refer for the translators ?

I read your alarming newletter about global warming. It is my duty to bring awareness about such research in India. So first thing I am trying is to get it published in Indian newspapers/magazines (it will be published as it is - with your name). Do I need some kind of authorization from you ? (I am worried about the copyright and stuff like that !)
