War for money?

Today I found a very interesting article.

It states that the war against the Iraq is not only one for oil, but for the economic stability of US's economy and currency. Regarding this information, which is being censored in US media, Iraq converted from dollar to euro as currency denominating oil prices in year 2000. As you know the the euro's strength has increased by 20% since then. The euro as a substitute for the dollar as reserve currency is a major threat to US economy. Reasons for installing a puppet government in Iraq are obvious. Converting back to dollar and stay with it.

What makes this really interesting is that by censoring this information people are being kept relatively calm and ignorant about this issue and no political pressure whatsoever is created to form a new energy policy which would not only deliberate us from fossil energy but also the march on Iraq would stop immediately.

Isn't it astonishing how many problems occur with the use of petroleum as primary source of energy?

An interesting reading indeed. I was truly inspired to learn that some countries begin to rely on BARTER rather than money...

The main problem on Earth is money, not any commodity. Monopoly of oil is maintained ONLY because of high profits associated with it.

Isn't it interesting that MOTIVES always seem to be the most important?

I find this whole war issue very interesting. Now I know exactly how NOT to run a country. [Marcus]

I was quite innocent about monetary system This article opens my eyes. It allows me to see why barter is far better. We get what we need under barter system. The idea of accumulation of wealth becomes irrelevant. Individual gains more freedom and independence. In monetary system, we give away such independence and freedom. Worst still, we are being controlled by the financial institutions like puppets while they are becoming richer and richer and we are becoming poorer and poorer in a dogs eat dogs world. No doubt jealousy, conflicts and wars erupt!! [bom]

ABC Australia (abc.net.au) runs a moderated people's Forum to discuss the Iraq war issue. Someone has submitted the above topic as a possible reason for the forthcoming war. @2 days later the topic was removed and no longer can be found. I wonder why...

On March 17 the US ultimatum has CHANGED. Now, it is for Saddam to "step down" to avoid "destruction of Iraq".

Where are all the weapons allegations gone???? Unverifiable ????

What does Saddam do that is SO upsetting and SO URGENT for the US that they cannot even wait another week? Is it a switch to Euro for Iraq oil transactions??? Is it related to the fact that US$ lost 20% since Saddam's decision and keeps sliding??

Is it a coincidence that countries who push for war and/or support Bush are associated with unstable US$ rather than Euro?

Is humanity evolved enough to stop the World War III between US$ and Euro for world dominance? It is likely to be nuclear...

So much goes wrong when our leaders see progess and development in terms of how much money is made, it just doesnt make sense to me. They make the economy, making money, a higher precedence than the well being of people and it just makes my heart cringe. It would make me feel good knowing that our leaders would rather see us healthy and evolving our intellect and higher feelings even if it meant we couldnt buy as much stuff. What makes setting the economy as priority when determining progress even worse is that even when rapid economic growth occurs there will be noone around intelligent enough who has control over the money to invest it simply as a means for attaining greater explorative methods using technology to better our lives.I suggest making the capacity to understand, health, and social conscious be given the greatest precedence when determining progress of a leaders people. It just makes more sense.

I agree. To achieve it, however, people need to evolve enough to be able to choose better leaders.
