What are you going to give your children for Christmas?
Joseph
My children are 16 and 19. They will each receive a nice box containing a card with the following message:
Dear Anna and Philip,
The most important things in Life are also those that cannot be "given".
No one can give you more Intelligence. You need to get smarter all by yourself. No one in the Universe can give you Imagination. You can only develop it yourself. No one can Understand anything for you. You need to achieve understanding yourself. No one can experience, express and understand Love for you. You need to learn it all by yourself...
I wish there was someone who told me all this when I was at your age...
Celebrating plastic trees, glitter and overeating in the name of Christ is not only a ruthless act of sabotage of His message, but is also an act against Nature and the Purpose of Existence.
Why don't we celebrate the Immortality of Consciousness? I wish you understood why and how I do it everyday.
I wish you realized how much I love you and how much I wish you aimed for all those things that cannot be "given". These are the same things that cannot be taken away from you...
It will give me the greatest joy to assist you. Just ask - and I will do everything I can to help.
Can you achieve anything without aiming for it?
With Love and Light, Your dad
As soon as I wrote these words I realized that the relationship between chilren and parents is very similar to the relationship between us and The Great Intellect. We need to find out what we want and then ASK. If what we ask is for our benefit - it is highly likely that we shall RECEIVE help.
All the best to everyone in the Festive Season.
Tom
Tom that is beautiful, you have also not been afraid to tell your children you love them, fantastic! These things you mention, I too have only just now realised. These words are better than gifts. If my mum wrote these words for me I would be rapt! Best wishes,
Kim
