Why do donkeys chase carrots?

I'm reading the Freedom of choice for the 2nd time(I'm a slow learner!)and I came upon what you think about money.

I can only agree with what you said, but the fact is that unless a dramatic event of a global scale occurs, this 'evil' monetary system will stay on this planete for a long time. It seems to me that money itself is neither good or bad, it just is, it's an idea. People have been rendered psychologically dependent upon it my the medias, the schools, the government, the banks etc..the more they work, the more they spend the more they need money, and the more they work, juste like the donkey chasing the carotte!!

Never the less, money if used by someone who understands the purpose of the universe ,might help to achieve incredible things, for this planete, for the people, and even to help create a money free system in a not too distant future.

An individual can only develop and promote an idea. To make anything happen - many individual intellects across the planet must unite to aim for a common goal.

At present the "system" seems to head for its self-destruction. Very few individuals comprehend the process and even fewer care about it. Any ideas how to make people THINK?

Yesterday I saw a "sticker" on someone's car saying "Don't listen to media - THINK for yourself".

It would be very hard to change our monetary system. The whole word's economy is based on it. I mean how would one country exchange with another. I know what Thao said but honestly you just wouldn't get all countries to agree with each other. Cripey's we can't even get an agreement about helping the environment. Even my own Country's, (Australia), great leader, (ha, ha), wanted exemptions that we don't deserve in the last World Wide meeting on the environment this year. Was anyone else disgusted with that! How can so few people dictate our future world's safety to the rest of us? The answer is screaming to me ........... because we let them!Yes we should definitely all think for ourselves! [Kimbra]

to this money issue we must all remember when we think it can not be changed it never will change but when we all think it will change is when it will acually change peace and love
