why do we have to keep on existing in this type of society?

You are doing a great job using your intellect and thank-you for sharing your learning with other people.

Everything possible has to be done to bring this book to the attention of as many people as possible, but especially the younger generation - only then can they make the 'choice to change'.

People should read books like The Freedom of Choice and Thiaoouba FIRST, otherwise they limit their choices and remain mental slaves of the system...'

Only after these books are read, a possibility can arise of 'noticing' that the present existence can be considered as 'a choice'. I certainly wouldn't have altered my ways without my reading of those books. Before I read them, I simply HAD NO IDEA. Even now, it is becoming more and more clear to me (and amazingly simple) as to why I have to keep on existing in this type of society - to learn. My choice is to learn how to best change this system and make others informed. If that can't be done now (and it can't - this is not a limitation that I've imposed on myself, but comes from observation of attitudes), then I'll probably just continue to learn to exist in this type of system while 'knowing' many important things. And this will be the hardest lesson of all - 'knowing' and being forced to exist among others to whom it is normal to be ignorant - even after they are presented with the facts. [Rafal]

Amongst the Wonder You can See So Much Ignorance.

Do you think winging about helps anyone? What have YOU done that is constructive and helps people to develop their intellects?

Tom

I have learnt that before I start criticing about other people I need to look at myself first. I find I am indeed no better than anyone else, no less materialistic, I have moments of aggression, hate, anger, you name it. I also have many good traits which I hope to improve, I am sure it is the same for most of us. We are all here through choice or because we need to be to learn through hardship, life's lessons, or whatever to learn to love and be loved as Tom keeps saying. So yes we do need to live in this society even though at times it is the pits, (literally!). That's my opinion anyway, Tom you are free to correct me if you may, (dam how embarrassing, hubby is looking over my shoulder!).

Kimbra

Why should I correct you? You seem on the right track.

Tom
